Career Pathway Guidance Placement

CAREER PATHWAY GUIDANCE PLACEMENT:

This is ideally done by form one and two classes of Bahati Boys High School. Where they are required to be attached in an area of their career pathway of choice in order to acquire various skills and to introduce our learners to world of work for two weeks each holiday in two years:

In the month of April, August and November, while establishing their foundation in the profession of choice. A case study from those in stitutions which practice placement, over 95% of the students end up studying for the same professional career at the university.

WHY PLACEMENT AT HIGHSCHOOL

1. Our students will gain knowledge from the professional: what is required from them.

2. At a very early stage learners develop their skills e.g. problem solving, team work and time management.

3.The student explores different career options and one can decide to change early in high school.

4.The student gets experience through placement.

5.Helps to inspire the students future career direction and they gain practical hands on experience.

6.Will connect our students with mentors.

7. Students will have an opportunity to demonstrate interest in the chosen career.

8. Our students will learn etiquette skills required in a working environment e.g. being

Polite, pleasant, smart and courteous.

9.The student will adopt confidence attitude which is very paramount in life.

THE RULES AND REGULATIONS TO BE OBSERVED DURING PLACEMENT BY

OUR STUDENTS:

1. Student MUST be in our school official uniform as per the printed photo.

2. The student should only communicate in English, but Kiswahili is permitted in case the

Situation demands so. “Sheng” language should be discouraged.

3. Sneaking from attachment department, should be reported in this placement report.

4. Should our students indulge themselves in any form of drug e.g. cigarette, alcohol etc.

5. Student should report punctually to duty: 8 am to 4 pm.

6. Any lateness to duty should be reported in the report book.

7. In case of disrespect and disobedience, equally report.

8. Any form of misconduct or misbehavior in the opinion of the organization ought to be reprimanded.

9. The student should maintain good and upright public relation.

10. The student should not use abusive language, decorum is outmost encouraged.

11. The student should not steal or take any form of item without permission.

12. The student MUST always wear identification tag.
